Shelter Scotland is a charity that works to alleviate the distress caused by homelessness and bad housing. They do this by giving advice, information and advocacy to people in housing need, and by campaigning for lasting political change. Shelter Scotland work in conjunction with the housing sector to promote good practice, publish reports, and deliver professional training.
eLearning for housing officers, social workers and housing advisers
eCom are delighted to have worked with Shelter Scotland’s Commercial Training Team on this important resource for housing officers, social workers and housing advisers. The course has 7 modules covering information such as who is subject to immigration control, who can claim public funds and the rights of family members of qualified persons. Knowledge and application is tested throughout the course using self-assessment. With the insight gained, housing professionals are better able to identify a client's circumstances, provide advice and direct them to further sources of help.
The Housing and Homelessness Rights of EEA Nationals course is available for purchase from the Shelter Scotland website.
