The proliferation of satellite constellations is set to usher in a new era for smartphone users, reaping benefits beyond the conventional realms. While basic emergency and texting services have already taken flight, the imminent surge in smartphone sales—expected to reach 200 million in 2024—capable of seamless satellite connectivity promises a tidal wave of services. Leading industry players, including Apple, Qualcomm, MediaTek, and Samsung, are aligning forces with satellite providers, such as Globalstar, Iridium, and Inmarsat, propelling satellite connectivity to an indispensable status. By 2027, an estimated 15% of smartphone users will wield satellite-enabled devices, introducing essential features like SOS capabilities and two-way messaging, thereby contributing to the widespread adoption of satellite-enabled smartphones. High-quality training on mobile devices
The significance of this evolution is paramount, particularly as user dynamics increasingly gravitate towards mobility. Users on the move demand seamless access to information and communication channels through their mobile devices. To meet this demand, ensuring that your team is well-versed and trained becomes a linchpin for both productivity and customer retention.
Traditionally, delivering high-quality training on mobile devices has been a challenge. However, a confluence of key innovations is now breaking down these barriers, enabling businesses to extend the same services offered to desktop users to their mobile counterparts.
Even when offline
This transformation includes the ability to provide a fully integrated Mobile App, facilitate downloads to mobile devices for offline work, synchronize uploads when an internet connection is available, and leverage the increasing pervasiveness of internet access.

A ground-breaking achievement
In a groundbreaking achievement, our mobile learning delivery in Nigeria and Rwanda for the British Council secured the Learning Technology Award for the Best Use of Mobile in 2024. This recognition was particularly noteworthy for the 12,000 teachers working with refugees, as it acknowledged the service and innovations that underpinned the success of the project. Teachers were equipped to download the program onto a SIM card for a week, enabling them to engage with learning materials and respond to questions. Subsequently, they could upload their progress during their visits to local centres, which provided the essential internet connection.
To overcome challenges related to data costs and the poverty-stricken areas where teachers operated, SIM cards were provided, aligning with the program's commitment to adhere to the UNESCO Agenda 2030 of "no child left behind" by 2030.
